MEMORIAL DAY 2006

29 May 2006 - Memorial Day Ceremony at the Albert G. Horton Memorial Cemetery (Suffolk, VA) Chapter 84 had the honor and privilege to participate in the Memorial Ceremony in Virginia's second (newest) State-operated Veteran's Cemetery. US Marine Corps Major General Jon Gallinetti, Commander of the Joint Warfighting Center at US JFCOM and the JFCOM J7 (Director of Joint Training), was the guest speaker.  Also making remarks was The Honorable John Marshall, Virginia Secretary of Public Safety. Chapter 84 was out in force, manning many of the key positions to marshal folks into and around the cemetery, and guiding in the floral wreathes presented in honor of fallen heroes, fallen friends, and all Veterans. Working with folks from the cemetery staff, the VFW Department of Virginia and American Legion, a very professional and proper remembrance. Click here to go back to the Main Page
